AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY

For over 40 years, we supply to the most important agricultural machinery manufacturers in the world. Many of our friction materials, were improved by supporting our customer during the designing stage of new machines.

Our products in this field are the following ones:

• Brake bands and brake pads
• Geared tooth friction discs for crawler tractors
• Main and P.T.O clutch plates
• Ball ramp brakes for both dry and wet use

CONSTRUCTION FIELD

Our products for the construction industry are used in a wide range of applications, including winches of lattice boom cranes, telehandlers, bulldozers and asphalt pavers.
For over 20 years we manufacture brake pads for dumper trucks, working in both the mining and construction sectors in heavy-duty working conditions.

Our products in this field, are the following ones:

• Brake pads
• Fail safe caliper brakes
• Brake discs for electric brake motors
• Sintered brake discs for winches

FORESTRY FIELD

Timbers are moved out of the area by forestry cableways, operating in a highly humid environment and low temperatures. Machineries remain often idle for many months and when are restarted, they need an efficient braking system from the first braking application.

Our products in this field are the following ones:

• Brake bands
• Friction linings for brake bands and brake discs
• Friction discs in both organic and sintered material

RACING FIELD

Not only for business, but also for passion…That’s how we entered into the out of the ordinary competitions’ world.

In 1990 we supplied our heavy-duty brake pads to the PERLINI 105 F truck (see video) winning the Paris-Dakar rally in the truck category.

In 2007 we were contacted by the OVERLAND team to refurbish the brakes of the old style ITALA car (see video) commemorating in the PARIS-BEIJING race, the deeds of Prince Scipione Borghese, who won the BEIJING-PARIS race in 1907, crossing the finishing line three weeks in advance over his competitors, along a path of roughly 16.000 Km.

We also designed a high-performance friction material for heavy duty clutch plates for Tractor-pulling (see video) a kind of competition, where modified tractors have to pull a heavy sled along a 35 foot wide, 330 foot long track, with the winner being the tractor that pulls the sled the farthest. It’s a kind of application where even sintered friction materials are highly stressed.

CABLEWAYS FIELD

For over than 20 years we manufacture woven and molded friction materials for cableways, according to our customers’ needs, ensuring that our products always meet our customers’ expectations in terms of durability and reliability, even in heavy duty conditions.

WIND TURBINES FIELD

In this field we mainly supply brake pads used on generators for hydropower stationsand on wind turbines nacelle. We also produce an emergency brake for wind turbines, to stop the rotor.

NAVAL FIELD

In the naval sector we supply woven brake lining in rolls, to refurbish the braking system on windlass anchor winches and harbour cranes. We also manufacture brake bands according to customer’s request, sintered brake discs and brake shoes for lifeboat dropping devices.

HOME AUTOMATION

In this sector we supply friction facings for safety clutches on automatic gates and garage doors, as well as for wireless motorized window shades. We also designed a cotton based woven brake lining for lift winches, which is much appreciated due to its noiseless operation.
